Amid growing concerns over the potential collapse of buildings due to RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete), MBS Chartered Surveyors were appointed to inspect and assess a local youth community charity’s building for its presence. A detailed site survey confirmed the existence of RAAC, leading to recommendations for necessary remedial actions to ensure safety. However, as the youth centre was already scheduled for demolition, it was advised to evacuate and close the facility earlier than planned to eliminate any potential risk to the local community
